Hi, I am looking for guidance and some insight..

My Dad has a CT scan Wednesday and it came back to say he has a lump on his chest & also on his lung it has shown up a black area. He was told this on Thursday & that the specialists would be having a meeting pertaining to his condition on the Monday, my Dad has had Copd for many years & he also has grade 3 heart disease. We have not been told officially what the diagnosis is, he is in hospital admitted with a chest infection & deteriorated very quickly. Is it typical to have to wait for so long to have confirmation? Given his frail state we have alerted all immediate family to prepare just in case, we haven’t been able to have any conversations with the doctor nor nurses as to why the delay so he has had to hang onto that worry as we have too just wanted some insight into all our unanswered questions. Hope someone can help, many thanks x
