Dear Members , 

first I wish everyone here to recover from any health problem they have ! I am mohammad, married and father of 4 , 2 daughter and 2 son and youngest 11 months . I am 42 years .my problem started with pain in chest in October 2018 , went  to GP and he said was Acid reflux . Pain continued and went  again and advised ECG heart but was nothing wrong . He sent me for X Ray which came clear . During this time moved house and registered with new GP . Pain reduced and thought I am fine now . However on December 20th 2018 , something tasted in my mouth and saw a tea soon of blood , got worried went to A& E and after 4 hours wait , Dr told me it might acid caused some bleeding from you stomach and might stop but it did not and continue until now ! My GP refered me to chest specialist and the specialist ordered many tests and CT . On appointment , she said lungs are fine , however a mass is accedentlly seen in Pancreace (20 mm in size ) . Now she ordered another CT for pancreases to find out and refered me to another specialist . The next week another branchescopy is also ordered for my bleeding problem . She said these two might not be related . So worried as I am the only one these kids have and my daughter already suffer and disabled .any advice and people have experience will be appreciated.

    Hello Mohammad and welcome to the forum.  The period when tests are being carried out and you are having to wait to find things out is awful but try not to jump to the worst conclusions.  I understand that you are distressed; are you sharing your worries with your wife?  Doctors order tests in order to rule out some things and to try to get more information about the cause of your problems - it does not automatically mean that a cancer is there; I don't like to think of you making yourself feel so frightened before you have any definite information.    How old are your other children - are they still quite young?  I guess I am saying not to get ahead of yourself because the situation is that they are still looking for what is causing your bleeding so they can decide what is needed to treat it.    We would be very happy for you to keep in touch as you go through the tests that are to take place and hopefully see you through this difficult time.  Annie

    Hello and Thanks Annie , 

    you are wonderful and thank you for kind words ! Yes terrified as been many months of suffering and hope nothing wrong ! Been healthy  person all life and never been to Dr as far as I remember and all of sudden these situation took a tool ! I did not discuss it with my wife and except few friends not told anyone ! My wife is weak hearted and no Idia how she can handle if god forbid it’s bad news ! This is great forum and read many stories and many people devastated by these terrible deceased ! Yes very young , elder 13 and youngest 11 months ! Have a daughter who is disabled and just pray to god to be saved for them ! After CT Dr said lungs are normal , I was so relieved then after a minut said a mass seen in your pancreace . I did not really know what it is and it does or it’s function . After reading more my fear multiplied ! Hope it’s not something sinister! Thank you !

    You sound to be a good man Mohammad but I feel you are taking too much worry upon yourself.  Hopefully your worst fears will come to nothing but (and this is only my opinion) it is probably better for your wife to know that you are having some tests because of the blood you mentioned and you are just waiting for your appointment.  Then if further appointments and tests are necessary she won't be thrown in at the deep end (as the saying goes) but will gradually get used to what is happening.  You are trying so hard to hold everything together for your family but, Mohammad, you are human too and could probably do without the stress you are now experiencing on your own.  I know it is easy for me to say this to you  (and that you will continue to do what you think best!) and I am pleased you have come here to chat about your situation.  SO do keep in touch if it helps with the stress!    Annie

    i read the stories of other people in this forum which is heart breaking ! Thank you for your kind advice and you are right I have to to let family know of what is going on ! Let’s hope for the best and recovery from whatever it is and wish and pray for Everyone in this forum very best of luck good health and fast recovery from conditions they have ! I thank you and people who run this forum and help people ! They are angels !
