Hi there, im new to all this. Ive had an achey pain in the left side of my neck 6 months now and there is a small lump inside the neck. This lump is definitelt the source of the ache. The ache comes and goes day by day. I went to the doctor last week an after initial examination of my neck he couldnt feel anything. I then pointed the exact location of it to him an he could feel it. He said it feels tender but told me not to worry and sent me for an ultrasound.

I had the ultrasound today, i was getting quite concerned looking at the screen as the man was measuring things on the screen etc.. but at the end of it he said he cant see anything to worry about. I enquired whether he saw the lump, he said yes its just a small lymph... i didnt catch the end of of the word lymph as he mumbled abit, but i assume if the end was phoma he wouldnt have said its nothing to worry about.

I see my doctor next week to talk about the results, my family say im fine as the ultrasound man said he cant see a reason to worry and my blood tests are normal. But im the one who has the pain still in the neck and a lump there so im still very worried. Am i being paranoid and are my family right? I just dont know whats going on :/
