I'm so sorry that they haven't been able to determine what you're contending with and that you now have to wait another 2 weeks before finding out.

I can't begin to imagine how frustrating this must be but many of our members know what it's like having to wait for a second opinion so hopefully some of them will reply soon to share their experiences with you.

The next two weeks will probably seem like an eternity but fingers crossed you'll be given good news at the end of it.

I had a FNA done on the 25th Jan. Just got an appointment through for next Friday to get the results. I really hope mine comes back clear/cancer and not undetermined this whole process has taken way to long. It started in August last year . I hope you get results soon xxx

Hey did you get your results yet? I am 4 weeks post op and still don't have any news i phoned and they said he had to ask advice from another doctor. The waiting is killing me though!

Sorry you haven’t had your results yet. The wait is bloody awful!

My results came back as papillary thyroid cancer. I am unable to have completion surgery at the moment becAuse I’m ‘medically unfit’ yawn. 

Really hope you get your results soon! Keep ringing, contact PALS at your hospital. They seem to speed things up xxx 

Finally got my results. I have Follicular thyroid cancer. They need to have a meeting to see if they should take the other half out as the edges of the cancer was broken and they don't know if it will have spread through the thyroid veins. Then probably the radioactive pill thing. X

I have had a scan on my thyroid and they have rand me and said they have seen a nodule that is undetermined and I need to go for a biopsy on Monday, I can not stop worrying that is cancer 

Is this just procedure xx

Hi. Yes, I think this is standard procedure. I had a scan first, then two biopsies. First one was benign, second one  was then atypical. Try not to worry. Most FNA results are benign. Xxx

They did it again because on the ultrasound, it did look like cancer. They were gonna take it out after the first FNA as a precaution... but I got sick and they cancelled my surgery. So the FNA a second time was like plan B xxx
