Over 70s breast screeening advice

Hello

I am writing on behalf of my mum who is 70 and is no longer in the system . She has fibroadenoma in her breast diagnosed 20 years ago and has been reviewed every three years with nothing changed - she went to the GP to request that she was seen now she is 70 as its 3 years since her last screen. He had no records of her fibroadenoma - last screeening just said no abnormaloties and now he has ticked a few boxes - as he said he had to and said she has a bit of dense tissue and she has got referred to the suspected breast screening clinic. There has been nothing from the GP and she is beside her self and so am I. I know its best to get checked but surely there should be passed history details kept on file both at the screening clinic and at the GPs we have been at the same GPs for 15 years!
