CT Scan results

Hi

Had a CT scan 7 days ago and received a outpatients appointment for the 14th March and it states surgical outpatients level 0

The department is

Consultant in Upper GI Surgery and i did have an ultrasound scan before the CT and it was mentioned I have a very small hernia

I'm a bit worried but guessing it was bad news I would be seen a lot quicker?

Any help appreciated

Hi David, if your scan shows cancer you would be called back ASAP as there are guidelines within the NHS as to how quickly you receive treatment. We had scan Tuesday, told Monday, immediately given dates for pet scan and biopsy, biopsy Monday, confirming the cancer by Friday of same week. I hope that this helps you but obviously I'm not a consultant! Good luck. Carol
