I have posted before but I had a left lobectomy and isthmusectomy done on 24th Dec due to an ultrasound result of 3/4 and a biopsy result of thy3f. I previously had a right lobectomy 20 years ago which now means I have no thyroid at all and am now on thyroxine.
I went yesterday for my 6 week check and asked was the tumour cancerous or not only to be told it was sent to another hospital for a 2nd opinion and the results were not back. However it was agreed at a further mdt meeting that i was to have an ultrasound done in 6 months and I have an appt with a doctor that deals with those with suspected cancer/cancer. My calcium level is also low.
I am more worried than I was before and the doctor was very vague but tried to reassure me that because the mdt notes say low risk clinic that it probably isn't. I did ask should I be worried and he said no but why then has the lump gone for a 2nd opinion.
After the surgery I have had so many problems with my heels, weight gain (nearly a stone), sleeplessness, tiredness, irritable I don't know how I feel and my partner keeps saying your fine the doctors have said it's not cancer - but have they or am I reading too much into this?
