Opinions

a few months ago I found a lump in my breast. I recently went back to the doctors due to it getting bigger, inverted nipples, redness around the nipple area and feeling really tired and aching over the top parts of my body. I am also feeling really sick at the moment. My gp has referred me to the breast clinic and I’m jus not sure what the results are going to be. Any advice please?

  • Hello Ldl and welcome to the forum.  I know that waiting for test results is worrying; but this is the way to find out the cause of your discomfort.  Doctors don't know the answers until they get the test results so the sooner you know then the sooner the appropriate action can be taken.  Human nature being what it is, of course you are worried in case there is a nasty lurking there but either way it is better to know and then any appropriate action can be taken.  Best wishes.  Annie

  • Thank you! It’s very worrying not knowing what to expect when I get to the clinic and what the results are going to be as breast cancer is in my family already and all the symptoms I am getting don’t seem to be getting better. It’s waiting that’s the worrying part.
