New on here, worried about a mole!

hello 

I recently returned home from a trip to Thailand. I noticed a mole on my shoulder that seemed darker than my freckles which I have quite a lot of. 

Since Friday there has been a big change in the appearance of the mole. I feel unwell and tired all the time. Swollen throat and painful muscles especially under the shoulder where the mole is 

it is now looking more like a sore! Any advice appreciated. I’m a 28 year old female. Thanks!

    Hi Amyg,

    I have no medical qualifications but I have been a melanoma patient for many years. I would get your GP to look at your mole but it's hopefully ok. It's unlikely that your throat and muscle pain is related - these aren't usual symptoms for dodgy moles, so you may have picked up an infection on holiday. Have you been bitten by mozzies? Your GP is the best to work out what the problem is. Please let us know how you get on. Good luck,
