Breast Pain

Hi, since before Christmas I have been having an uncomfortable feeling in my left breast. The way I'd describe it would be a heavy feeling. Ive been to the doctors twice since New year now and had 2 physical examinations and he cannot feel anything unusal or any lumps. Ive been feeling pretty tired lately too. Ive mentioned this to my doctor too and am waiting for some blood test results back. He has given me some ibuprofen gel and has told me to change my bra to a support bra. Im honestly worried sick, its on my mind constantly. Its draining me. The doctor isnt concerned and has said he cant refer me for a scan with no lump and to see how I am in 3 months time. Im worried sick.

  • I have a telephone appointment with the doctor this morning. I feel constantly worried too, to the point I can't concentrate on anything else. It's really getting me down. When the doctor examined me a month ago and was not concerned I was so relieved, but it is till so sore sometimes I just have to move and it hurts like a sharp burning stabbing pain. What with Covid and recently diagnosed Autism I couldn't possibly feel any lower and scared than I do right now.

  • Hi

Hopefully the doctor will help. I also have an appointment on Friday although that felt like I was begging them to see me,  its very hard to switch off from worries about it isnt it.   I have a son with Autism so I can understand how this is making you feel so anxious. Hopefully you get some support today!

  • I have an appointment this afternoon with the doctor too, I'm hoping even if he's not concerned he'll refer me so I can get it checked out just for peace of mind. I can't function properly while I'm worrying about it.

  • I just wanted to respond as your situation sounds the same as mine. I have pain in my left breast, I'm also an a/b cup but have been having pain since before Christmas. I had an appointment in December, she couldn't feel anything but gave me the gel. I've only used it a handful of times as I feel like that is only going to mask the problem rather than solve it. I too have stopped wearing a bra since we're in lockdown anyway. I don't know whether to contact my gp again to see what the next step is since I have the pain most days. I just want it to go away as it's constantly in the back of my mind making me worry in case it is something sinister.

  • Hi ladies.
I am in your boat.  I think.
I had breast implants 12 years ago. I've just found out my implants were recalled 2 years ago in the USA due to a link to cancer but they haven't been recalled in the UK.

I have been in a&e today with the pain in my left breast bit started in the middle of my boobs on the left side - I thought it was due to trauma. It's now radiating and burning in the bone under my armpit, the top of my breast muscle and my lower left rib. Convinced myself I have ALCL which is linked to lymphoma and caused by the implants I have. My breast clinic appt is next week. My anxiety is through the roof and I have a 2 year old who I love more than anything and I can't control my crying for worrying. The pain doesn't go with pain killers at all but seems to move around. I'm petrified.

  • Hi and I hope you had your appointment and it went okay? and Hi everyone else, well I had my breast clinic appointment today, mamogram and ultrasound, and nothing found. They coudln't explain the pain though just that it is very common, so I feel a lot better about it but still the pain niggles away! So hopefully now i've had the all clear it may calm down a bit - here's hoping. Boob very sore after being squashed and prodded again though!

  • Hi, I too can relate to your worries. I'm 61 and developed an itch in my left breast two months ago. Sometimes prickles like sunburn, sometimes nothing at all. The nipple is the most itchy. Have had a mammogram and ultrasound which were fine, 2 weeks ago, but have asked for a second opinion as it all feels much worse and I'm scared it might be Paget's disease. There is nothing at all to see but it all feels wrong somehow...
  • Hi, I'm also 21 and been having on going pain in my left boob for three months now. I don't wear wire bras already. I'm getting worried now too

  • I've been having the same issue with my right breast. I have mentioned it to my Drs but they just don't seem interested. 5 years ago I had more severe pain and got referred to the breast clinic, they examined me and did an ultrasound, they said there was nothing there to worry about. The pain went, but now there it is again. I've tried changing Drs but can't due to my catchment area.

  • Hi. I just wondered if anything came of this for you, my problem is similar and has been there about 18 months now but recently has started to spread I feel. But sometimes feels like it's my rib cage and other times it's in my lower breast.
