Possible lymphoma?

Found a lump in the inguinal area of the lymph nodes which has been there for few weeks, it’s a hard painless lump but still feels like skin it doesn’t move and it’s about the size of a penny, I have shortness of breath- heart rate is constantly above 100, I have an extremely itchy area of skin for months, I’m in process of registering to gp atm so cannot make an appointment yet to get it checked. Does it seem like lymphoma from symptoms?

  • Hello and thanks for your post

I was sorry to learn that you are worried about your health.

People often tell us about their symptoms, but there is often not very much that we can say. This is because most symptoms are what doctors call 'non specific' which means that they can be caused by a number of different conditions.

Usually when you register with a GP,you can then make an appointment to see one. The NHS website has information on registering with a GP at this link

Your GP will assess your symptoms and decide whether you need to go for any further tests. Although this can seem frightening, in some cases the symptoms will be caused by something else other than cancer. But it is always sensible to get any problems you have checked out.

I hope you know more about your situation soon.

    Kind regards,

    Celene
