  • Hi Rach,

I noticed no-one had replied to your post yet so I just wanted to check in and see how you're getting on with that icy cold burning sensation you've had over the last few days.

There have been quite a few posts about nipple issues on the forum recently - some of which you can find by using the 'search forum' option in the blue bar above - so fingers crossed some of those members will see your post and reply to you soon.

Kind regards and best wishes for your breast clinic appointment,

  • Hi there,

My daughter 19, had terrible issues with her nipple last year. Burning, lots of discharge, sore flaky skin, a lump. She saw the GP twice and he refused to look at it just putting it down to exzema and gave her cream. The second time I took her she was very unwell but he still brushed it off as exzema. That night I rushed her to A and E, she was put straight onto IV antibiotics as she had sepsis. It turned out it was exzema but had become infected and the infection had spread to her blood. As the GP had refused to examine her it was missed. It was quite traumatic because at the hospital they also found a lump and referred her to the cancer clinic the following morning BUT it was only exzema that lead to an infection.

Shes fine now. Your issue could be one of many simple things but it's great you have an appointment to be checked. It's a real worry and I feel for you but try not to assume the worst. Its good to be aware of your bodies changes though and to get help straight away if you feel something isn't right. Hope this helps.

  • Hey!

Forgot to say if you start feeling really unwell, like fatigued, hot, motley skin, not weeing much etc.(.. those were the signs that worried me about my daughter and I took her to the hospital just in time) then go to A and E straight away!
