I had my 2nd baby in October and at 5 weeks pp I suffered really bad heavy bleeding to point I was soaking a pad an hour and having big clots. I kept going doctors and they finally prescribed me two sets of antibiotics to take and they took some endocervical swabs the non chlamydia ones. They examined me and said that my cervix is very inflamed and a bit of it had eroded. Im just wondering whether the swab I had is the same as a smear test. My bleeding stopped however I have episodes of pink blood on my pad now and again. I have an awful feeling that if this doesn’t detect cervical cancer than I have a fear I might develop it with my cervix problems. I’m 18 on Wednesday so still not the age for smear tests.
