I developed a large hard swelling in gland just under my jaw and up around my ear . I thought I may be going to come down with a cold or sore throat but over the next few days the it got bigger and started to cause discomfort . Off to GP who suspected it may be a stone but has referred me for an ultra sound and also ran some blood tests . All tests were in normal range apart from a raised CRP ? I haven't had the ultra sound yet but the swelling has subsided but I can still feel a small hard area .
When it was up it caused discomfort in my face and into my ear but this settled after taking Nurofen plus
Should I still attend for the Ultra sound or assume that it was indeed a stone that has worked its way out . I haven't noticed any thing in my mouth and apart from the swelling feel perfectly well
Any advice would be appreciated
