Hello Ic74.  It sounds like haemorroids to me (let's call them piles, it's easier to spell!).   Please don't use the internet for diagnosis; we say here that Dr Google is a quack who should have been struck off years ago.  They cover every possibility no matter how remote the likelihood.  When you go to see a doctor they ask questions, take a look if appropriate, ask questions and generally take several things into account.  And even then they sometimes find it necessary to carry out tests of one kind or another.    You could buy something for piles at the pharmacy; perhaps you should talk to the pharmacist in the first place - like doctors they are used to happily talking about everything under the sun.  If it doesn't clear up and becomes a problem then you should look at getting a prescription from your GP.  Best wishes.  Annie
