  • Hello Nudge

Welcome to Cancer Chat and thank you for sharing your story. I am sorry to hear you have been so poorly recently and that they have found a shadow over your left lung. It is really sad what happened to you when you were your daughter's age and that you lost your mum at such a young age, but try if possible not to imagine the worst.

It's difficult to say whether you should tell your daughter now or after you've had your appointment - it is indeed a very personal decision as you know your daughter best and how she might react. I hope some of our members will have some suggestions for you based on their own personal experience of sharing test results with a loved one.

I hope your appointment goes well. Keep us updated if you can.

    Best wishes,

    Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
