Colposcopy and treatment

I"m having a colposcopy procedure soon at hospital. If found that I need further treatment ie. lletz, do I have to have it there and then or can I ask to possibly return the following week etc??

I know I can have treatment at the same time as the colposcopy if required, but do I have to, can I have the option to return??
