Brain tumor?

Hello everyone.

I’ve been feeling a bit off for the past week and a half. I’m 26 and just started nursing school, so contributed it to anxiety. On my first day of school, I thought that I was going to have a heart attack and pass out. I put it off as a panic attack, as I’ve had one before. Since then, I’ve been getting what I think is dizzy spells for a couple of seconds. My head also feels funny and I feel constantly fatigued. I find myself being forgetful, getting the binging leters of words mixed up, and other memory problems. That’s been going on for a while I think.

That’s really not unusual though, as I have 2 young children. Yesterday I had gotten a sharp pain in my head that lasted about 20 seconds and then went away. For a year, I’ve been expirecing muscle twitches, pin/needles sensations in hands/feet. My point is, I just don’t feel myself. I have been drinking coffee since I started school. Maybe it’s the caffeine? Anyways, what are the chances it’s a brain tumor. I had an MRI of my head because of ringing in my ears, all came back clear. What are the chances of a tumor growing in 10-11 months? I know some brain cancers can be very fast growing and aggressive. I know no one here can diagnosis me, just looking for some assurance.

-Thank you.

  • Hi hun I couldn't read and run I had the exact same symptoms as you about 10nonths ago I was convinced I had a brain tumour I felt like I was looking out of a bubble constantly too I ended up having an mri and it was clear it turned out to be severe anxiety fter the traumatic birth of my son. Maybe this is why yours has got worse especially starting nursing school I don't think a brain tumour would grow that quickly no.

  • Hello AshDone; welcome to the forum.     I think it  unlikely that your symptoms relate to a brain tumour but - as you realise - none of us here are in a position to make a judgement on this.  If you make the mistake of googling your symptoms you will be convinced that you are not long for this earth because they are absolutely useless as guidance.    However as you are concerned about the symptoms you are experiencing you might perhaps like to revisit your GP to get some reassurance about them.  It might be an idea to keep a diary of yoru symptoms for a few days before you visit the doctor so s/he can get an idea of how often you are having problems.  Best wishes.  Annie
