Loop excision biopsy results

hi all,

 

i had my loop excision biopsy done on 31st December.. after receiving high grade severe dyskarosis from my smear test back in November which was followed by a coloscopy biopsy done on 11th December confirming CIN 3.

 

i rang today to see if there was any results back from my loop treatment & the nurse confirmed they were back.. but she is unable to discuss these results with me over the phone & will have to wait for a letter which the consultant is currently writing up!

to me this doesn’t sound good as surely if they were ok she could tell me that? It sounds like there is something there and I need to wait for this letter so it can be discussed face to face..

ive gone back in to full on pannick mode again as why do they give u a number to ring for results if they are unable to discuss them? 

 

Has any any one else had this before? Any advice would be great!!

    I'm sorry to hear about your situation, it is easy to understand why you're concerned.

    I'm sure someone who has been through a similar situation will be along shortly to share their experiences with you and give advice but until then you might consider giving our cancer nurses a call if you think asking them a few questions might help.
