Sorry that you’re going through this worry at the moment. I am currently going through the exact same. I have 8 lymph nodes that I can feel, 3 on the base of the back of my neck have defiantly been there for about 2 years. Recently found more above my collar bone and sides of neck and behind ear. All pea sized, soft and very moveable. I haven’t been ill recently which sparked my worry.

I went to the doctors on Wednesday who felt them all, had to point him to some as he couldn’t feel them but found them eventually. Said it was unlikely anything sinister but referred me to have an ultrasound so I’m waiting for an appointment to come through. He didn’t tell me if it was going through as urgent.

my anxiety is also through the roof I have no other symptoms apart from being tired but I have a one and half year old and I am also 10 weeks pregnant. I feel so worried about all of this and can only think the worse all information I can find points to cancer.

Hi sorry so late at posting again I didn't think anyone would've text me on this lol , the doctor that day said she couldn't feel the one which I think is around 2cm , she kept trying but couldn't feel it which was very frustrating because I know it's deffinatley there and but the other ones she could feel she said felt normal, I also discussed with her my health anxiety and she referred me for CBT which I haven't had yet I just hope when I do it's going to help with this horrendous anxiety, still got all the same nodes now , haven't changed in size I don't think but still worry me daily

Appointment went just as I thought, Ultrasound showed no reduction in lymph node after antibiotics Actually only by 3mm which they say is nothing and that we have to do the excisional biopsy now as that’s the only way to know what it is. The chief ENT dr gave me no clues as to what we are looking for as he just said he doesn’t know as it’s nothing obvious they can see and again said the ultrasound findings look benign/ reactive except the size is too big. It measures 2.39 x0.4 x0.3 I’m not really sure I understand the measurements  and how they do it except it’s 2.39 cm long by 0.4  wide???but it’s oval with hilius etc like a reactive lymph node? So long story short no idea still what is in my lymph nodes! They are just taking one as all the others are under 1cm. The biopsy is on May 31st and I will be in hospital for 4 days. I’m so scared I really don’t like anything hospital wise  and I’m certainly not brave when it comes to needles etc,even when I had my children I couldn’t wait to get home! I will keep you updated after biopsy! 

It’s great news though you don’t need a biopsy! I understand how you feel second guessing the drs I’ve done that too which has finally lead me to where I am  today!My eye dr also isn’t concerned but I can’t shake the feeling this is related to my eye too. Good idea to investigate the lymph node further if it hasn’t gone down and hopefully then you can get some peace of mind! 

Right im off to enjoy these next two weeks as much as I can with my kids in case I don’t get a good biopsy result!

Sorry to hear you have to be in hospital for a little while but really good news that you will finally get an answer! Will be thinking of you on the 31st. x

thanks for the message I’m still in hospital but going home tomorrow! The excisional biopsy really wasn’t so bad and not much pain afterwards at all,I just have seem to have caught a viral throat infection so it’s very painful to swallow atm hopefully it clears up soon. I will find out tomorrow when I need to come back for the results, this waiting for results is really the worst part!!!Did you book an ultrasound yet? I hope your feeling ok! I will let you know once my biopsy results come in.

Ah I'm glad it wasn't too bad and that you're out of hospital! I have my ultrasound tomorrow. Feeling very nervous as two more lymph nodes have popped up in the submanibular area, which means I now have 3 there. Aswell as another two each side of my neck that have been getting bigger. Will see what tomorrow brings! I hope all goes well with your results Xx

Great your ultrasound is already tomorrow! Hopefully you can get some peace of mind! It is very stressful when you don’t know why these lymph nodes are swollen! I must say I’m so nervous now about what my biopsy results will be... I’m trying to not think about it but it’s impossible !

Just read through this thread and I'm going through something similar, if not a step behind yourself.

Did you get the results, I hope all was okay?

I've just had my lymphnodes checked out via ultrasound as had persistant chesty cough and breathing problems, along with enlarged lympnodes for months. Radiologist said he saw some reactive but both sides of neck were suspect. 

Just waiting for urgent ENT and biopsy referral. Fingers crossed!

i am sorry for not replying yesterday I was anxiously waiting for my biopsy results which came this afternoon and I’m happy to share that my lymph node came back as only reactive after my excisional biopsy .I am so very relieved and so happy that I can finally put this behind me! So I hope this can help reassure others that a lymph node/s can definitely just stay up and reactive for a long time, ( I was not convinced of this  before today thanks to dr google!)Mine was there for 14months and also grew slowly bigger from February this year and at the time of biopsy last week was 2.45 cm!

It is good your getting seen soon by ENT and getting a biopsy ( I should’ve pushed more for a biopsy a long time ago!) and I hope everything turns out ok for you too! Will be thinking of you and have my fingers crossed
