Swollen lymph nodes in groin

Hello there everyone!!!!

I thought I'd just see if anyone can advise me? On Saturday, just gone I was up the hospital with a suspected hernia. With examination, they concluded my lymph nodes was swollen on the left. They checked for others and found small swollen lymph nodes under my arm etc.

After a scan and an ultra sound, they then asked me to go back for a CT scan. It is this Thursday. Could they have found something in my bloods? Is That why it's happening so soon?

I'm tired all the time, I don't eat because I'm feeling full all the time and lost maybe 2 stone in 5 or so months.

My body aches

Sorry. I know no one can give me answers but I'd love an opinion.

I haven't family around

  • Hi!

its good you are getting it checked out! Swollen lymph nodes are a sign your body is trying to fight an infection, so there may be something going on. The latter symptoms you describe alongside the swollen lymph nodes in the groin and armpits are similar to that of lymphoma, however this may not be the case! Make them aware of all the symptoms you are having so they can get a good picture! Best of luck x

  • Hi do you have an update on this? I’m going through the same symptoms so would be good to know how things went for you.

    Many thanks x

  • Hi,

    I hope you're doing ok.

I just wondered if you had a diagnosis or still waiting. I have a swollen lymph node in my groin again I went because I thought it could be an hernia. Also had full blood count which came back with high platelets. Waiting on a follow up appointment. It's so difficult not to try and look for answers yourself.
