thanks for writing back and clarifying! I know no one can say for definite at this stage, but what sort of treatments are the next stage? 

doc86, yes I had my colposcopy today too, pretty much the same situation as yourself. Sorry if tmi but did you find you bled a lot when they did the loop? When I got up there seemed to be a lot of blood, wasn't sure if that was the norm ‍♀️ Suffering with the cramps and achy ness now though! 
 

i suppose the summer holidays with the kids at home will keep me busy until I get the results!

If they didn’t get clear margins when removing the cells, another lletz might be required to make sure. It’s possible to have multiple lletz treatments, but it depends on how much of the cervix is removed each time. Hope your’re feeling better soon-you might need to just take it easy for a bit. x

Hey steph. 

No I had no bleeding well not yet anyways, just the iodine stuff coming out. I was tender tho like how u feel after giving birth down there. But it wore off in the afternoon. But now I am so bloated very gassy and really uncomfortable. My friend is a nurse she said thats all normal. And to just keep taking pain relief even if we feel we dont need it. I hope in a few days you will start to feel a bit better xx

how are you feeling now? My cramps, pain and bleeding have ramped up this morning. Not sure if it's biopsy related or my period, but I'm not due on till next week. Either way ibuprofen is my best friend at the moment!

Hey, sorry you are still feeling like that, honestly I was a bit shocked i have been absolutely fine. No bleeding no cramps or anything. I had a  dull pain lower back yesterday I put on a heat pad and I was top. It's just the waiting on results back has my anxiety off the roof. And I know i only had it done on Thursday wish the results only took a day or 2

Hi ya I went for a smear test a wk later I got a phone call saying I've got hpv and high grade went for a Colonoscopy the next day they took a pic and took somethink from my. Cervix just waiting for a Biopsy to come back I'm 34 with 3 children I feel scared as it's the u knowing x

I had it done awake it isn't that bad but I had to go in on my own coz of covid I'm mow waiting on results

Attended A&E august 20 with "something" that fell out of me and that looked to me and my older daughter like an ovary that literally had me in agony with I thought was a 10 day period. It was biopsies and biopsy results came back non cancerous. All my tests etc were clear. Had multiple scans to check my uterus etc and the only thing they couldn't find my right ovary on four scans and the gynea said my endo wall was unuaslly thick. Fast forward to my smear in feb

The nurse doing my smear saw a polyp...the size of a Malteser she said...brought dr in for 2nd opinion and then told me they'd refer me back to gynea at hospital for removal. 6 weeks later my smear results came back hpv positive but no abnormal cells so to book for another smear feb 2022.

9 weeks after my smear I received my gynea letter no info just an appointment for august 2021 (6 months after the smear)

Attended the august gynea app to be in total shock that they were to remove the polyp there and then. Some what traumatic experiences and the Dr struggled to stem the bleeding. They did however show me the polyp which was by no means a Malteser, it was the size of a rubber on the end of a pencil. Was told my results would be within 2 weeks. 
After chasing up the gynea and with my own Drs 5 weeks later I was told I'd receive a telephone app with gynea, knew instantly this wasn't good news. 
The Dr who I spoke to had very broken English and was speaking so fast I missed most of what he was saying and just cried after the call. He asked when my last smear was and the results... surely as gynea they have access to our med records?? He mentioned cin which I've never heard of and that something about me going in to check my uterus and find my right ovary with my legs up....and to take more biopsies

Its been a week since the call and I'm just in overdrive...sorry for the rant and thank you for giving me the feeling I'm not alone in these long waits.

Did you get your results?

I just got mine, CIN3 and precancerous cells (which were removed with loop exsision. And to go back for a smear in 6 months. I fell like i should be happy with that, but im not. Im dreading the smear in 6 months. But nothing i can do about it i suppose! X

Hey mrsskelly, yes same results as me cin3 precancerous cells and back in 6 months for another smear. I was actually happy with that as they didnt find anything else. Even if cin3 is back in 6 months they will treat it again with another leep or cone procedure. Try not to worry. X
