so just had a scan and was told have endometrial thickness of 9mm, I have had some lower pain and brown dishcharge that smelt.. Had a biopsy done today now it’s the waiting game. I am really worried..
im sorry that you’re in this horrible waiting game. It’s definitely worth ringing to check how long the appointment will be. I cried in the phone to the clinic a few months back and my appointment came in a day later. Not sure if the call /crying made a difference but at least I was doing something! the waiting is the worst. I too had thickened 9mm lining (post meno months of bleeding). So far I’ve had 3 scans, 2 hysteroscopies (my strong recommendation is have it done under general), biopsies (all normal) and a polyp removed. Then had coil out in and have bled pretty much constantly since then (7 months). Despite the mirena I’ve just found out that I still have 9mm thick womb so now have another 2ww gynae referral.
the reassuring thing is-as said up thread- is that 90% of the time a time a thick womb will be fine. Try to hold onto that. Eat well. Look after yourself. Allow yourself to be emotional about it (this is big life stuff after all ) and talk to your close loved ones too. No point suffering alone.

Thanks for your reply, it was so nice that someone understands. I really feel for you going through all this over such a long period of time, it's so draining. I'm going to take your advice and try ringing the gynae department at the hospital to see if they can tell me anything.

Just a quick update. I rang as you suggested and my appointment is on the 4th of November, they said I should have received a letter so it was a good job I phoned.
