I was told that I had an endometrial thickness of 20mm and the biopsy has come back cancer but its very early early stages so easily fixed with surgery hysterectomy but also have Vulva cancer and a cancerous mass on my lymph nodes. So totally unworried about the endrometrial cancer. As yes thick 20mm and it is cancer but very very early stages so easily sorted and fixed so I am hoping all of yours comes back non cancerous
It's so helpful to read about all the experiences of you ladies. Thinking of you all, it's a worrying time. I'm 54 and had a heavy post menopausal bleed 10 weeks ago. Nothing before or since. It's been a long wait to be seen despite being fast tracked. Ultrasound showed womb lining thickening of 9mm. Wasn't expecting it but had to have a biopsy today. I'm very worried about the results which will be within 2 weeks. The biopsy itself was fine and not painful at all. Very light cramping afterwards and no bleeding. I hope not to have to have more tests but I'm thinking it may be just as well to be very sure. They do the biopsy blind so surely something can be missed without hysteroscopy??
Im very nervous which is why they werent able 2 get enough hence now having 2 have a general they will tell u that thou i hope all goes well 4 u.xx
Thank you so much. Keep in touch xx
Will do take care.xx
Sorry I've only just seen your reply.
I was bleeding heavily and non stop. I was put on the progesterone pill (mini pill) to control it but I still bleed on it. I now have been told by doctor to take two pills a day for now until I'm seen. I suppose it will help to counter-act the estrogen.
Xxx
Bless you.
It could be a hormone imbalance.
I bled for most of the 6 months I was on the mirena coil. They put it down to hormones.
The waiting time is horrible.
Take care and look after yourselves.
Try and focus on something else if you can I know it's not easy as I'm the same.
Yes trying to think of other things. Not succeeding though.
Take care of you too and stay in touch xxx
I've been bleeding constantly since Jan and went to docs in March and they said they were going to send me for a scan. Nothing came through but last month, I started bleeding very heavily so I went back and they realised they hadn't submitted my scan request. Had scan on 20th August and today told I have tiny fibroids but showing a thickening of the walls measuring 16mm. She said I need another scan in 8 weeks then will have biopsy if needed.
I agreed but called back asking why should I wait another 8 weeks when I've been having symptoms for 9 months.
did everybody else have to have 2 scans?
Thanks, Bee xx
Yes i had 2 just had mine done under general results in 2weeks its been 7 weeks in total.hope they dont keep u waiting much longer hun.Xx

Hope you're staying strong and get the right results, I got mine, I've got stage 1b g2 but I'm not worried anymore as it's curable, I'm just waiting for a date to go in and have a hysterectomy, just remember womb cancer IS CURABLE if they catch it early. STAY STRONG X

Hi Maryellen,
Hope you do not mind telling me more about your condition. Did you have any scans before your hysterectomy?
I have been diagonsed Stage 2 grade 2 after hysterectomy. I am worried that it hs spread to other places. I was not given any scans even up to now.
Many thanks.
Chui
Hi Chui,
Yes I had an ultrasound first then internal scan and biopsy and chest x-ray all on the same day then mri about 10 days later, I've had a total hysterectomy ovaries the lot and 3 sessions of radiotherapy about 6 weeks later. Hope you get it sorted good luck. X
Thank you very much Maryellen!
Happy for you that you caught it early and now in the path of full recovery.
Happy Christmas!
