so just had a scan and was told have endometrial thickness of 9mm, I have had some lower pain and brown dishcharge that smelt.. Had a biopsy done today now it’s the waiting game. I am really worried..

I went for tv ultrasound scan on Tuesday as I've been experiencing spotting for about a month. I'm 49 and my periods have been 20 days and 35 days over the past year.
My Gyno didn't sound too concerned due to my age. but suggested to have a scan incase it was due to polyps and have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks.
The scan showed no polyps just a cyst under under 4cm. The thing that concerned me was she mentioned thicknesd of lining which is probably due to my period is due soon she didn't mention how much and not concerned. All she said at the end all looks ok , some gyno sometimes like to have a follow up on cysts but may not as it's under 5cm. and. Nothing about the thickness so assumed ok but I spotted again this morning.
Getting myself worked up..... The follow up appointment is tomorrow.
I just wanted to post an update as I sometimes find it useful for others as I am left ll wondering how people got on.
My appointment went well, the consultant said my thickness due to my period was due and it would probably be heavy as previously.
He has suggested to get a D&C to remove lining as when I had the mirena coil I couldn't get on with it I bleed for most of the time I was on it. He's told me to book myself in and gave me a booklet. I'm not sure what to do as I can live with a couple of days of heavy bleeding but he seems to think it will probably get worse.
He told me my thickness was 12mm when asked him.
I hope I put someone anxiety at rest if they read it in a couple of months time and have a similar experience.
Im going in thurday to have my biopsy done under general feeling a little nervous now,just the thoughtof going through another few weeks of waiting very daunting.hope all you ladies are staying strong.Xx
