so just had a scan and was told have endometrial thickness of 9mm, I have had some lower pain and brown dishcharge that smelt.. Had a biopsy done today now it’s the waiting game. I am really worried..
Hi. Sorry to hear you have had a long wait for results. It's such a worrying time. My Dr today told me that they are not looking for cancer but just to rule it out. I know you hear the word 'biopsy' and you think 'here we go'! A thickened lining doesn't always mean cancer. My dr said today that statistically 10% will be cancer but that means that 90% won't be. All we can do is try to stay positive and not over think too much, but it's so hard isn't it. Thinking of you
I hope you hear very soon. It's wrong to make you wait and I know what you mean. It's the not knowing that's the hardest. Perhaps you could phone the consultants Secretary and see if she can help. If they know how worried you are they may be able to help. My husband said to me today (and he's had cancer and is now fine), there is no point worrying until you need to! I suppose he's right! If it is cancer (big chance it won't be), then it will have been caught early and will be sorted. If it isn't then you've made yourself suffer. I'm not saying don't worry, of course you will, I am too, but try to keep some perspective. Take care
I hope so 2 i have contacted the secretary and they did say tgey would chase it up.cancer wasnt mentioned at the time but since having the letter with the measurements on it ive been in a bit of a panic.im praying yours will ok thank you 4 taking the time 2 answer my questions.xx
I have just received a letter they didnt get enough on biopsy so i now have 2 go in and have a GA 4 them 2 take more,so another wait i cant ring till monday 2 make an appt i dont no how much more waiting i can do.sorry 4 moan.
Sorry to hear this, that's not great! It makes me think that we should all insist on a hysteroscopy as I'm now worried that just a biopsy is not enough, there are too many margins for error. I've just had a biopsy. You must be feeling really down about another wait as I'm sure you just want some answers. It's not good enough really. Sorry to jump on this thread but I too have just been told my lining is thick measuring at 30mm. I am waiting for an biopsy appointment. I havent done anything all day apart from thinking the worst.
I had mine done on the 19th july but they didnt get enough so i now have 2 go in 2 have a 1 done under general mine is 24.9 its quite worrying isnt it.
