Pain in left leg

I have these pains in the lower half of my left leg which don't seem to be getting any better. One is on the outer side of left leg about halfway between knee and ankle and the other is on the inner side just a bit above my ankle. Both are painful when I press gently on them. The inner one feels slightly lumpy compared to my right leg. Sometimes when I'm walking my leg really hurts but not all the time.

I cannot think of anything that could have caused this to happen and I can't see any bruises or anything.

I feel too scared to go to my GP as I'm worried my leg pains are something bad.

  • I had excruciating pain in my shin a few years ago. Was on a lot of strong medication at the time and had  a full body scan but it was totally unexplained. It just went away on its own after a couple of months. I'm not soft on pain but this was probably the worst I've ever had.

Please don't be scared to see your GP. If there is anything worrying then the sooner it's found the better.

I totally empathise with you and sincerely hope your outcome is the same as mine

  • Hi, did you ever get to the bottom of the pains in your legs? I’m having similar pains at the moment (amongst other things!) it’s so worrying when symptoms are unexplained xx
