I can totally understand why you are freaking out.

the more I understand about this pill more I read it's just a pill that messes with our bodies.

the nurse I spoke with at the beginning of the year said he can cause breakthrough bleeding.

what freaks us out is not having any bleeds for years to then have one out the blue which we weren't expecting.

its so reassuring we can talk to each on here and support one another, as I know I'm getting obsessive with it and need to get it out of my mind!!

Double dosing can mess up your hormones even more, so i wouldnt recommend it. but every now and again its fine if like me, i wanted to change when i took it from PM to AM. Deff not something you should do every day. 

I think my hormones are starting to settle as ive had break outs. I've had clear skin all through the bleed but i have been suffering with mild acne on this pill since i was 18. I just have some acne cream now which sorts it out. I'd rather have some spots over bleeding....

I also had a bleed in December! it wasnt very heavy then though, just light and lasted about a week. I find that stress or some emotional trauma can bring on a bleed due to the fluxuation of hormones. 

How is yours doing today? Im trying to think that every day its less than the day before but i honestly can't tell. 

It is making me a tad nervous to have sexual intercourse again too. Im in a long distance relationship and spending the week with im next week so have all my fingers crossed a get a few days of nothing before i go there, otherwise im like 90% sure it will make it worse again :sad:

Hi guys I had been on so is it since I was 18 I'm 40 now and it has been fantastic for me literally no periods when I'm on this pill.   Sometime in those years I did take breaks. And usually things settle down once I start again after four weeks.

but..

I stopped about seven months ago and was having periods every two weeks constantly so I decided to go back on the pill about four weeks ago. I couldn't take the periods and the pain anymore (can't take ibruprofen) I have had a constant period now for over two weeks. This is so not like my body.

I spoke to my doctor about my acne and she gave me a blood test for hormone inbalance that has came back "clear" receptionist said.  It's not even real fresh blood, Literally just looks like rotting flesh  Very dark solid red black. 
 

strange.... Fingers crossed it will settle down in the meantime I am trying to take vitamins so I don't get lightheaded

About the acne. I am 40 and I've always had acne and it is now worse than it ever been. I had a hormone blood test check and it came back clear. I came off the pill for a few months and my skin got even worse than it was when I was on it but it's bad both ways. I literally don't know What's going on with my skin. It's got to be hormonal because it comes in stages

I've been on cerelle since Dec 18 and am on my period more than off! But it's rarely heavy, painful and is generally just an inconvenience. 
 

But i've been having a period for about 7 weeks now (a few days break last week but then started again). As others have said it's mostly not even enough to need a pad or tampon. I've called my Dr who will speak to me on Monday....telephone appointment only. I'm also having my smear test on 2 Sept. fingers crossed it's nothing. 
 

i also suffer from pcos and fibroids, but symptoms from those have mostly been mild so far. 
 

i felt rubbish on the combination pill so not going back on those! I really hoped this pill would settle but it hasn't really. However, i am just really happy that it hasn't effected me mentally.....for the most part. 

I have been reading this thread from being on cerelle for four four years. Two days ago I experienced spotting and very light bleeding when I wipe. I had sex so I was worried. I rang the doctors and they said unless it persists to not worry but I can't help but get a wave of anxiety when I see it. It hasn't happened for two years. Is it normal to bleed after sex on the mini pill?

I have this on and off! Mine was normally brown mixed in with normal discharge and didnt happen every time I had sex.. just once a month. I've been on it 14 years.

Are you getting any pain during sex? Does the bleeding last a long time and does it happen every time? It may just be a small breakthrough bleed anddd it can also depend on the type of sex. If irs rough then its perfectly normal

Just wondered how you were doing? I was very pleased when I actually stopped bleeding! That lasted just over 2 weeks and now I am back to bleeding again . 

This time I'm on day 3 and it's a light bleed and no clots. Lots of brown on day one with clots but think it was left over from the last one...

The only thing I can think is that the body is adjusting again? Like it would be if you had just started taking the pill? I only missed one or two but was late quite a lot of other times by 3 or 4 hours here and there (as I used to take it at bed time).   Has anyone else had this issue? I'm still going to stick it out as I've been on it 14 years and would love to go back to not having periods again!

my bleeding lasted on and off for 20 days, was so relieved and happy  when it stopped.

ive had nothing since, I've been taking my pill religiously every morning and I'm taking multi vitamins for women and at the moment I feel ok. I know I could bleed again at anytime as I'm going through the perri menopause but all the time I'm not I'm enjoying every moment.

i had that brownish bleed a week before the period came, it's just all very annoying more than anything.
