I had filgrastim x3 injections and had to have another 2 due to low WCC.. The pain I endured after the 5th injection was horrendous and clearly unbearable. I ended up being admitted to hospital and was given oramorph, brufen and paracetamol to ease the pain. I do believe now that taking regular ibuprofen would have prevented some of the severe effects of this and will trial this when I will next be given the injection in a couple of weeks.
my mother in law was rushed to hospital last night with severe pain in lower back radiating to legs. Like a crushing pain she said and was around her chest too initially. she said it came in waves. The thoughts are that it may be due to that injection as she had them - was on the 7th. What was your pain like? She said it was hard to describe.

Hi.. The pain starts quite dull in lower back and gets stronger and stronger and it feels like its pulsating in the back.. Down the legs and in any bones in the body... Not nice at all.. I had to have morphine to get it to go.. Itstbe filgrastim injection.. It does eventually go but never experienced pain like it.. Really hope you got your pain under control... Once I feel it coming on I take strong Co codamol and brufen.. It does help
