Armpit lump

Hi,

On Monday I happened to come across a lump in armpit! It’s at bottom of armpit, sort of near close to my back. It’s very large, I can move it and it’s not sore. It’s probably size of golf ball or bigger. I can only feel it when lift up armpit, when lower arm and check lymph. Nodes in there I can’t feel anything. 

I haven’t been to GP yet, will go early this week coming. 

Has anybody else found something like this that can be moved. I did have cold few weeks ago. But it has gone now. Only other symptom I have is feeling tiredness but I have had this for years, going back to early 20s and I am 30 now.

    Hello MarkyMark100,

    You are doing the right thing in making an appointment to get this lump checked out by a GP as only a doctor will be able to tell you exactly what it might be. Make sure you mention all the symptoms you have had recently including the tiredness and the fact that you had a cold a few weeks ago.

    I hope you will meet others here who have had a similar experience.

    Had appointment this morning! 

    He checked armpit, neck, groin, chest etc! Incase maybe any swollen lymph nodes. Said couldn’t feel anything and that one in armpit didn’t feel hard and could move it, that he was happy it wasn’t anything bad. Said more than likely hair follcile. Took bloods anyway as haven’t had them done in over a year.

    Just an update. Blood tests came back ok, except had to go back for urine test due to folic acid levels being ‘abnormal’. So wait on results for that.

    In mean time Iv since found swelling in groin, also spot on neck. Don’t think it’s lump though as it’s red and sore to touch. Also seem to sweat awful lot more. In bed at night like I’m warm and bit of sweat round my neck and chest but nowhere near drenching or anything. I still feel real tired aswell. Wondering if folic acid means anything? Starting to feel quite anxious now about the whole thing.

    Hi. I have the same in my groin, neck and both armpits. Do you have an update on your situation?

    Hi,

    I still have what feels like lump both groin and armpit! I got x ray on chest some time ago and every was fine etc! Regular bloods and stuff and all ok.

    No other symptoms other than tired really just. 

    Always check with GP put ur mind at rest if anything. Else!

    I see. 

    I get loads of little ones which are hard but I can squeeze them and pus comes out. They have told me that is is down to in growing hair follicles.

    I had a chest xray last week because I have a cough which I have had for over 8 weeks, that was clear. 

    I have had these lumps for years and years now, I have been given antibiotics but nothing works. I just want to feel normal.
