Im a 30 year old male and have had dull pains in my abdomen for some time now and finally went to my GP who sent me for an ultrasound of the abdomen.

The results came back with a polyp (approx 0.5cm) on my gallbladder. My GP did not seem overly concerned but wants a repeat ultrasound of the abdomen to be carried out in 6 months time.

I have been on Google and researched Polyps in the Gallbladder, and gone in to panic and worry with what I have been reading as there is a chance these polyps can lead to cancer.

6 months seems a long time to wait, or am I just getting worked up with worry over nothing?
