Sorry to hear about your wait. This is a very stressful time for everyone especially when you’re not told when to expect the results. You did the right  thing contacting your GP and finding out the date,

Wait time for results vary and as in my case the hospital sends out appointment by second class post whilst the GP receives them via email so often quicker than the patient.

It is normal to feel scared. Everyone on here who has had to wait has felt like this. I found trying to keep busy or distracting strategies worked to a certain extent but there will still be times when it returns. Best advice I can give is to contact someone on here to talk to or even just rant. I’ve sent you a friend request if you would rather do that privately.

i waited three weeks for results of a polyp from my cervix and a womb biopsy so I know exactly where you are coming from.  It is always easy to think the worst and we all do it but all news is not bad news. 

Tuesday although it seems it, is not too far ahead. Prepare questions and if you can take someone with you to listen and ask as well.

Welcome to this site. I'm sure you really don't want to be here but I think you will find a lot of support and information. This waiting for results is such a scary time for many but there will be some answers on Tuesday.  It can be a good result but I know you may be thinking the worst.

Prepare yourself for the meeting by listing any questions that come to mind beforehand.  Try to have a companion for support and who can help to remember what is said. I found it hard even to take in good news.

I wish you the best for Tuesday and in the meantime divert yourself with things you love to do.

Thankyou for the welcome. Yeah I'm trying to distract myself. My husband will be with me on Tues. I'm useless at taking things in. Xx 

Polyp was normal.

Biopsy showed low grade cancer cells, early stage . Had total keyhole hysterectomy last Monday. Alledgedly still recuperating although I came home Tuesday and feeling not too bad. Awaiting histology results coming next Friday. So yet another wait, :-/

So polyp news was good.

Unfortunately histology showd grade 3 cancer so more aggressive and need further treatment. Going for pelvic lymph node removal and testing to see if there is any cancer in them. Op on 23 July. If positive it will be radiotherapy and chemo, if not maybe just few sessions of radiotherapy. The news was as devastating as it was unexpected. I could have gone straight for the therapies instead of another major op but decided I needed to know. I’ve had a wound infection so have had to wait for that to clear first.

Hi I am due to go in for polyp removal next Wednesday I also have a 7cm cyst on my ovaries they said that will be a different procedure removal by keyhole how did you get on...reading loads very scared  claire

I went for hyperscopy on thursday there was six staff in room told by gyneacologist that this is a hard one i was losing lot of blood as on aspirin later i went into recovery room with my sister and neice later on the nurse looking after me told my sister twice that i had cancer i have a bad heart and i completely went numb later on the nurse said to me dont worry it might not ve nothing it might ve clear i have veen stressed then two days later a nurse rang me from same dept to see if i was okay i told her what the nurse said and she said shoudnt of said that we dont know for up to 3 weeks she kept saying sorry now worrying and depressed
