Hi, my mum may go through a hysterectomy but is so worried about the procedure and after effects. If you don't mind please could you give us some more details about how it went/ the after effects etc. Hope you're better now x 

I had a CA125 blood test done back in august, came back at 1020 so mine was extremely high, was diagnose with ovarian cancer a few weeks after emergency scans, had emergency surgery which involved a hysterectomy an omentectomy and a peritonectomy, the only side effects iv had from hytorectomy is hot flushes but it took me a long time to recover from my major surgery due to the other stuff they removed, currently having chemo, after my 3rd cycle my CA125 was down to 51, and after my 4th it's down to 25, got another scan after my last cycle on 15th March so won't know nothing more until I get results from that. 

Hi I've  recently had a ca125 result of 1294, had ultrasound and internal ultrasound which were both clear. Did the find anything on your ultrasounds please? Very worried, awaiting gynae referral.

Hi, to start I actually ended up in a+e because my stomach was really distended and bloated, they did ultra sound and found I had free fluid in my abdomen, which obviously meant something sinister was going on and prompted them to do the CA125, once I'd had my CT scan tho they found my ovaries where actually clear and they had spat the cancer into my abdomen... all's I'm going to say is, just keep your head ok, just cross whatever bridge you come to, I was exactly where you was and I was worried sick, just don't lose yourself over it, I really hope everything goes ok for you  

Hi I asked the doctor to test for ovarian cancer so had the test and it came back as 40 so I'm waiting for my ultrasound scan I am so scared I have 3 little ones and I'm thinking the worst. I am constantly bloated and needing to wee more than usual 

Hello, I hope you don't mind me asking, but I wondered how you got on. My story is very similar to yours. Had 2 CA125 tests and both came back at 54 (one month apart). Had ultrasound but nothing really to report, just a small fluid filled cyst. I am now awaiting an mri scan. I am just so worried, I can't think about anything else!

Hi don't worry I had raised levels before Christmas level 56 then raised to 67. Had ultrasound, tv ultrasound and ct scan all was fine. Was diagnosed with pcos. Anything u want to know just ask I'll be happy to answer. I know how worrying it feels waiting to find out 

Thanks for taking the time to reply that makes me feel a bit better. I suffer with ibs so I'm thinking it could be something to do with that. It's the waiting that's the hardest part! Xx
