I had the operation on Mothers’s Day (little ironic) and after a long wait was finally told that there was no ovarian tissue. They suspect it was removed (accidentally) during a previous operation to remove a cyst. So that explained why they could never find it on the scans. But there was no cancer detected in the Fallopian tube and the other ovary looked fit and healthy. So I’m hoping that’s it. They can’t explain the raised CA-125. 

My symptoms of severe right side abdominal pain that started the whole thing have now gone, which is a bit odd. Perhaps there was a psychological element to it. 

So don’t give the raised CA-125 too much attention. Is it very high or just raised? Have you had any previous operations? Try not to get too worked up (easier said than done I know)

Hiya I'm just after a bit of advice after having a similar experience 

My CA125 was 45 in November was referred for a ultrasound which was all clear but they struggled to find my ovaries due to gas, I've had another blood test which is now 65 and been referred to a gynaecologist with a 3 month wait, anyone else had a similar experience? 
I went to the Gp due to heavy periods, I'm 46 and thought I may be starting the menopause 
I'm very worried now and thinking of paying private cause I can't wait 3 months 

I had a the same experience.  Started with possible peri menopause symptoms and pain in the left groin which is worst during ovulation. went to the Gp who sent me for blood tests one being the CA125 which came back 47.5 and was sent for an urgent TV ultrasound which was normal.  I've just had my results from a repeat blood test 8 wks later and it is now 99.5. I have gynae appt. in a couple of weeks.  I am 44 years old

Exactly the same, left side pain I thought it was ovary pain, I was expecting them to find a cyst on the scan but it was all clear 

Hope it goes ok, let me know what they say! 
The Gp said I will be referred urgently but there's still a 3 month wait 

As the scan was clear I don't know what to expect when I see the gynaecologist

My result is 226 now, in april last year was 238, then 190 and I have had several investigation like ultrasound, MRI and other scans etc, nothing! It is a small fibroid but that could not give such a high level.

I'm writing only for those who are worried for 56 value..could be nothing just like in my case..so do not worry.

Hi. I'm in the same situation CA125 was 149, had scan couldn't see overies few cysts but doctor doesn't seem worried,  said may be a long wait to see gynecologists.  Got to have another CA125 test, if it's gone up again I think I'm going to a&e myself see if that gets me seen sooner. I'm worried sick. Why would CA125 be 149. Had the test in july which was 12. Its confusing.
