I do feel a little better Jan but scared to temp fate should have the results by Friday but I do have thyroid that I think can throw the reading off but will see
they seemed more bothered about the polyp so will just have to wait for the referral that they are fast tracking so again will wait and see
That's the trouble with ca125, so many factors can affect the results. Mine has increased from 98 to 450, but CT scan shows all is stable. It's all very confusing!

not so great had Hysteroscopy today to look at polyps the tools they had didn't reach far enough so will have to have another one took some tissue from near by to test

had my test when I was on my period have an under active thyroid and there is a cyst and polyps which I have read can raise level and not be cancer
my doctor has advised me to call hospital Monday and see what they are going to do urgently as levels raised and if no joy to call them and they will chase
Surely the longer they leave it the more It could spread if it is cancer
Sorry to hear your appointment didn't quite go as planned. A CA125 of 42 isn't that high I don't think.. normal range around 35. Like you say, lots of things can affect the results.
I know what you mean about waiting. When I had my diagnosis, I had to wait 3 weeks before starting treatment. I was convinced that the cancer would have spread by then. However, this is not the case.
Hopefully you will get your results soon and all will be ok.
If you should get a diagnosis of cancer, the treatment you will get is amazing. We have come a long way in the last few years! I'm living a normal active life and feel well.

By the way, my ca125 was 1020! The other thing I'd say.. the worse part ( for me anyway ) was the waitng to find out what was wrong. Once I knew what I was dealing with I coped a lot better.
trying to put my logical head on as I have already been scanned and I do have haemorrhagic cyst and polyps plus thyroid playing up and was on my period that even one can just effect but that little what if keeps coming and playing on my mind
Every case story is so different with the ca125 some people
with cancer read low and some people that do t have cancer have high reads.
so glad you are doing well Jan and sound so positive everything I am reading sound like it's the end and its turely scaring me
