It took me a year of pursuing it .. I'm really well. People automatically think cancer is a death sentence when a lot of the time now it isn't, treatment has come so far. I finished treatment a year ago this month you will be fine xx
Thank you for sharing your experience & advice, I was 2 weeks late so my Dr ordered a hormone blood test & self swab test (both done today) Was meant to have smear & exam as I also have a small lump there, I have a scan booked for mid August but Symptoms changed from no bleed to constant heavy bleed & clots for past 3 weeks, with pelvic & low back pain, I cancelled my smear & exam as google said it would affect the result but know I don't know when I will be able to have them, a friend thinks it's the menopause but I didn't think it was like this...and google pointed to cancer & found this group. I'm scared about a diagnosis & have no-one to turn to (I just lost my Mum to cancer). Can't stop crying & feeling it's going to be the worst news. I'm 47 x
Hi I've had hpv positive for 2 year I have no got abnormal cells on my cervix but I've been constipation and getting pain in both tops of my legs. I have colopscopy on Saturday rather worried
Yes I did I managed to get a private appointment within 48 hours and mine was cervical erosion. I am on no birth control at all and the doctor who referred me said I couldn't have that because I wasn't on birth control but even with one look the consultant knew what it was. I had a biopsy taken to be sure and all is fine.
If you have the symptoms go please go to the doctor and make sure they refer you for the biopsy or at least a smear test.
Since I have had it lots of people have mentioned they have the same so it's more common than I thought and Google just scared me silly!
