Large hard lumps on vagina wall

Hi,

Today, I have noticed 1 large golf ball sized lump on my vagina wall about half way in. A little further up there is another half the size. They do not hurt, but upon inspecting myself they now do feel sore.

I had a smear test about 4 weeks ago (came back clear). A week after the smear test i had sex and experienced pain and bleeding which isn't like me. My partner noted that i felt different and more 'narrow'. I hadnt had sex for months prior to this.

Today im on my period about 3 days in and thought I'd forgotten a tampon inside so inserted my finger to check and have found the lumps.

Ive had 3 children (vaginally). My 3rd child ive had pelvic pain since. I went to the gp because of how tired im feeling a few months ago. I mentioned if I sit for a long time my coccyx area feels bruised and its hard to get back up. (This might not be related?)

I have a gp appointment booked tomorrow morning but I wondered if anyone else has had similar and what was the outcome / diagnosis? Im super worried

  • I had similar, not necessarily sore, but i found some lumps during covid. At that time no one wanted to examine me! Eventually was referred to a gynae and found I had a cystocele and rectocele prolapse! They told me at the drs it was scar tissue at one time, so please get a referral to a gynae to take a look if your not happy with the outcome. (5 children- all vaginal births). Good luck and please update xx

  • Thank you for replying!

I went to the GP today and was examined and they couldn't feel anything (however I was laying down, the times ive felt them are in an upright position). She said it may be nothing or may be possible  prolapse and positional.. to come back if I feel it again (which i have! ‍ )

May I ask were yours positional? Could you feel them all the time or only in certain positions?

  • No problem, I know its such a worry! Great news! I could only feel them standing up! I think its gravity pushing everything down! I do have some wee problems, lol, but didnt go for the op, though mqy go back for a pessary to help with the incontinence..cant even jump on a trampoline lol. When i felt it, i thought...cancer. thankfully it wasnt!

The dr had to examine me with one leg up to check the prolapse..lol...lucky im used to it through childbirth! They usually grade your prolapse when you go to a gynae, then you can see what options you have, if u want surgery or something else. Im just relying on the tenas lol xx

  • Wow thank you! I think mine is deffo the same! I dont have incontinence however feel like i need to wee a lot. I think ill go back and mention what you've described.

The price of having kids aye xx
