Floating lump next to right testicle

For around 6 months I’ve had a floating lump (about half the size of a pea) next to my right testicle. I went to the GP around 3 months ago and was told to keep an eye on it and that it would probably be fine, I didn’t feel any better after hearing that.

Yesterday after standing up from watching a film I felt a horrible pain in the same area as if I’d pulled a muscle in my testicle. The pain went away overnight but I’ve had a nagging feeling about it ever since

should I be worried?

  • Hi Alex_16,

You did the right thing going to the GP after you noticed this floating lump next to your right testicle. I completely understand why you don't feel reassured after being told to keep an eye on it and given that you have been monitoring it and noticed this intense pain in the same area I would definitely go back to the GP and flag this even if the pain has gone away since. Perhaps you could also try and speak to a different doctor - we have information on our website on getting a second opinion.

I hope that you will speak to a doctor soon and that they can give you reassurance. Other members of our community may have had something similar before and I hope that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you.
