Lump in breast

I have been to the breast clinic because I found a pea size lump which was aching. The first doctor told me she thinks it is fibroadenoma. I went for an ultrasound, the doctor then wanted to biopsy the lump in my left breast and biopsy my axillary lymph node. They also found calcifications.
I’m only 24 and waiting for my results is so stressful. I’m just worried.

  • Hello Hudhud and welcome to our forum,

I think it's reassuring news that the doctor told you they think it's fibroadenoma but it's always good to get these things checked properly. You are very young to have to go through this and it's understandable that all these tests are making you anxious. All you can do really at the moment is wait for these important results but waiting can be the hardest thing and the long wait for answers can feel endless. While you are waiting, I thought I would share with your these helpful tips on how to cope while waiting for important news. If you can, try to stay away from the temptation to look anything up online as this will never give you proper answers and will only make you worry more.

Other members of our community have been through this before and I hope that they will be along shortly and share their story with you. It helps to talk to someone else who is in a similar place and I am keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.

    Best wishes,
