Hi I just wanted to ask those who have had complete debulking and gone into surgical menopause.

As the tittle said ladies who have had this , how was it for you ?

How did you find recovery and the effects if any of going into surgical menopause?

I know everyone is different but any insights would be great feeling a bit nervous/anxious about it.

Thank you x

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling a bit nervous ahead of your surgery. It's understandable that you have questions, and I'm pleased that you recognise that everyone's experience will be different. Hopefully you will hear from some ladies who have been through a surgical menopause soon, but it's important to remember that your journey may be different to theirs and once the team have a clearer picture of what is going on for you, any additional treatment may change things again.

There is some helpful information about surgical menopause on this NHS web page as well as on the Ovacome website.

If it would help to talk with one of our nurses at any point, you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice and support they can.

    Best wishes,
