My mum is currently in hospital after a small bowel blockage meant that we have discovered a lump/tumor in the area. We have tried multiple biopsy by endoscopy (six in all) and all have come back with no cancer cells. We have got highly abnormal cells but not the cancer cells that then allow us to plan treatment. Due to the area of the lump it is difficult to access to get biopsy, the docs has advised it is currently inoperable without having treatment to shrink it but we keep getting the incorrect cell type to plan treatment. They have advised it is almost definitely cancer due to the look of the lump but we are going in circles, has anyone experienced anything similar? Any ideas for next steps? Thanks!
