I found a lump and gp has referred me for scans. It’s quite large and smooth. My identical twin sister just had breast cancer but is now cancer free. I’m worried
I am sorry to hear that you have found a lump in your breast. This must be especially worrying, when your twin has already had breast cancer, although I'm glad to hear that she is now cancer free. Not all lumps are cancerous. Many turn out to be benign cysts or Fibroadenoma. Its also a fact that only205 of those who attend the breast clinic will get a cancer diagnosis. I hope that your appointment comes through soon and that you don't have to wait long before you're seen. try not to consult "Dr Google" until you know what you are dealing with. Much of the content is poorly researched, out of date and aimed at the most spectacular cases. This won't give you any answers and will only serve to increase your anxiety.
