Hi there.  Like you I was recalled following a mammogram & was out of my mind with worry.  I was offered an appointment whilst I was due to be on holiday so I rang numerous times every day to try to get a cancellation as I didn’t want to go away with this hanging over me.  Luckily, I managed to get one prior to my holiday & everything was fine.  Mine turned out to be a ‘spot’- just a normal spot you can get anywhere on your body but because it was a change from my previous mammogram it was highlighted as a reason for further checks.  It’s worth noting that the majority of recalls (like mine) turn out not to be cancer.  The equipment is so sensitive it picks up the slightest change from the previous one.  If you are able to get a cancellation it’s worth making yourself a nuisance & ringing every day so that you can go away on holiday without the worry of not knowing what has caused the recall.  Best wishes to you & I hope that like the majority of people recalled you will be fine. 

Thanks so much for replying and that’s very reassuring to hear your story. I phoned the clinic as soon as it opened and now have an appointment tomorrow morning so will fly out later in the week.
