I have been through this but I did not have pictures taken I just saw the dermatologist . It is good you are seeing them soon . They may be able to look and see if it is benign , if there are further concerns you may need a biopsy . I just had one and my results were benign, as many turn out to be . If not , the good thing is you are under investigation and many/ most issues found are very treatable. My only advice is take it step by step and try to not assume the worst . Dermatologists are very cautious so may decide to biopsy even if they are not terribly worried .
