  • Hello mommabea-85

I'm sorry to hear that, following your recent mammogram, you've been asked to return to the breast clinic. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious.

Sometimes the size of a fibroadenoma will change and the team will want to make sure that there is nothing underlying that needs addressing, which is why they have asked you to attend for further checks. I know how much of an anxious time this can be but try to remember that the majority of women seen in breast clinics are not diagnosed with cancer. There is also some information on the Breast Cancer Now website that might offer you some reassurance whilst you're waiting to see the specialists.

If it would help to chat things through with one of our team of nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

Do keep in touch mommabea-85 and let us know how you get on. We're here for you.

    Best wishes,
