God Bless the NHS!

I suffered a nasty asthma attack Apart from saving my life by seeing me the moment I arrived at the surgery, nebuliser etc. My brilliant GP said I required a chest xray, ECG snd blood tests. She prescribed steroids for eight days and changed my asthma pumps and medication

I had the blood test three days later. On the fourth day I was asked to visit the surgery as I was found to be anaemic. A FIT test was arranged and I was asked to complete this within 24 hours. Last Friday, I was informed that the test was positive and an urgent colonoscopy had been requested. Being a bank holiday weekend I expected to wait.            Yet, Tuesday I was phoned by the colonscopy nurse. This lovely nurse informed me that I will be having my colonoscopy next week. As a retired nurse, I'm not panicking - yet! However, if I had not suffered my worse asthma attack for over twenty years, I would not have had a blood test, found to be anaemic, had a FIT test and having a colonoscopy next week - Augusg 9th. Following all of this I weighed myself to find I have lost 9+lbs since June. Hopefully, it's just a coincidence!
