Atypical Hyperplasia and possible cancer

Hi,

I recently had a diagnosis of precancerous cells in my uterine lining (following a biopsy of my womb).

I’d had an ultrasound to investigate bleeding in between periods at the request of my doctor, which then led to discovering my womb was approx 26mm and I had a polyp attached to either the fallopian tube or an ovary. Following that I was put on the 2WW, where it took 3 weeks or so to get a biopsy, and then another 3 weeks to get the biopsy results, which confirmed that precancerous cells had been found. I’ve since had an urgent MRI and am waiting on the results of that, but feel quite sick and panicky that it’ll be cancer.

I have had irregular bleeding (both light and heavy/lumpy) in between periods for absolutely years - I have gone to the doctors several times and been prescribed transexmic acid, but by and large I have written off the bleeding as normal for me and only followed up with a GP after a health check through work. 

I’m 42, have 2 children (who were conceived via Clomid). My mother died of triple negative breast cancer and her sister had (but survived) womb cancer at a similar time. I have PMOS, and endocrine issues seem to run in my family in general.

I’m overthinking nearly every unrelated symptom at the moment - from a light cough and a sore hip - and feel worried that if cancer is present, that time is passing with no real plan of action.

Work is hugely stressful right now, so this level of uncertainty is pulling me in every direction. Not to mention we have travel that we’ll likely need to cancel, depending on when the hysterectomy is scheduled/takes place.

Sorry, slightly shouting into the void a bit - I know the waiting and uncertainty is probably the worst part. I’m struggling to lean on anybody else for support right now.
