Mass on Pancreas - reassurance?

Hello!

I have had a bit of a whirlwind of over the last 6(?) weeks… and it’s a lot to process. I suppose that’s why I’m making this post

27 female, no health issues except migraines

Went to the Dr. about abdominal discomfort - originally I thought this was bad indigestion that I couldn’t shift, I felt rotten and like I had a boulder in my stomach. I was however also itchy and had dark urine/pale stools. They took bloods as a precaution. Fast forward five hours and I’m being told to get to hospital within the next hour as my LFTs were elevated (one was 1700 and another 800!).

Originally suspected gallstones and possible gallbladder removal, but after ultrasound, MRCP and CT with contrast dye they couldn’t find any. All they found was dilated bile ducts. They discussed this with surgeon/gastroenterologists who advised an EUS was on the cards.

The EUS was difficult - they had issues getting into my duodenum and I remember feeling this so sedation must have worn off - so had to stop. They found a 15.2mm lesion, well defined margins, on my pancreas. They couldn’t biopsy.

They decided to include this as part of or hold a MDT - and whilst waiting for this they did more bloods for my Ca-19 levels. These came back elevated too.

So now following the meeting I’m booked in for an urgent EUS (again) with a specialist at another trust and they would like to get a biopsy.

They were reluctant to do a biopsy apparently so it would seem they do need to do one and that’s set me off on a massive worry

Obviously I’ve been so stupid and consulted Dr. Google (more to find out what benign things could be causing this to put my mind at ease!!) and I’m beginning to panic. I just feel like something isn’t right but I just want to be okay.

I’m so young, recently married and my whole life is ahead of me. And whilst I understand pancreatic cancer would be very rare I’m absolutely terrified. I also feel so horrible for my husband watching and supporting as best he can from the side lines and I’m trying to be strong and I’m praying and praying that it’s not cancer and that it’s something else, but the doubt and horrible feeling in my stomach keep creeping in. I’ve shed so many tears this week.

Can anyone offer some words of wisdom or reassurance? I feel so silly but I also can’t stop thinking.
