Hi all. I know you guys can't give medical advice. I am just looking for some guidance or support I guess.

My mom is 63 years old, she started to bleed last Sept. September 2025. The bleeding can be quite heavy with clots. The bleed may last a few days then stop, she has significant lower pelvic pain and brown discharge. The symptoms come and go.

The latest bleed is ongoing the last 5 days and too be honest its so heavy it reminds me of a miscarriage.

Last month she had a endometrial biopsy which came back clear, she also had a CT scan on her abdomen and pelvis, this came back normal. Her last smear test was 2 years ago, result was no hpv found. 

We live in Dublin. Last week my mom went to the hospital and was told they cant do anything at the moment as the bleed is too heavy. I am at my wits end. The level of blood loss is frightening. I worry she has cancer somewhere, they just need to find it. The hospital told her she will hear from them this week. Her GP has told her she wont do a smear while she has symptoms.

I just dont know how this can be ongoing for so long. 

I am so worried.
