Information - post menopausal bleed and high CA125, waiting for appointment

Hi there,

Im 52 and have had a post menopausal bleed after 3 years. I also have high CA125 and for the last week iv been getting intermittent cramp which at times is very painful, in my abdomen, side , back and pubic bone . I have my referral for scan on 31st August but that was before my bloods came back and dr said a different referral had been made and I should be seen sooner .
You try not to worry but easier said than done. To complicate things I have IBS and over the last two years it has been very problematic much more than it’s ever been and Iv had it since I was 19. Any information/ advice I’d be most grateful for.

  • Thanks so much for the response and I received a new appointment for five days time so at least it’s moving a bit quicker.

  • That's great Lesley.

Although the next 5 days will be tough, it must be a huge relief knowing you don't have so long to wait now.

Do let us know how you get on if you're feeling up to it.

We'll have our fingers crossed for good news.

    All the best,
